Right Start Children`s Centre Stay and Play Volunteer St Barnabas Church Hall, every Thursday afternoon.

We are looking for volunteers, who would like to provide practical support to our project and will be able to commit for at least 12 months for a minimum 3-5 hours a week. Stay and Play runs every Thursday afternoon 1.00pm - 2.45pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Clarksfield.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

• Support Right Start staff on home visits to promote Right Start services
• Assisting the Right Start team in the planning, preparation and delivery of Right Start interventions
• Actively encouraging parents / carers to participate in play activities with their children
• Assisting the Right Start team to evaluate the session
• Building positive relationships with families
• Assisting parents to attend Right Start services.
• Assisting parents in attending other relevant appointments.

Requirements: Relevant qualification or training
Skill and Qualifications Required:

• Good communication skills and the ability to make people feel welcome and at ease
• A good understanding of the importance of play in the development of children
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Non judgemental
• Actively promote Equality and Diversity
