About the host organisation

Hosted by: The Anthony Seddon Fund
Organisation Profile: We are a small charity raising funds for mental health & wellbeing projects in Tameside. We are passionate about helping people who are living with mental illness and its effects. We aim to raise awareness and challenge the stigma, discrimination and lack of resources endured by those with mental health issues in our community. The majority of our volunteers have lived experience of mental health issues or support family/friends who have, and they utilise their experiences to help others in a similar situation. Our Aims To advance awareness and educate the general public, in particular children and young people, in all areas relating to mental health and wellbeing. To improve the quality of life of people affected by mental health issues and the families, friends and carers of people who have mental health issues in Tameside and surrounding areas by promoting and protecting the physical and mental health through support, education, practical advice and provision of financial assistance. To work alongside other organisations and agencies in meeting these objectives.
