Action Together’s Tameside Community Team is now based in community venues across the borough to help connect you with what’s happening in your local community. The free service provides a wide range of support, from advice and signing up to local volunteering opportunities through to funding your ideas.

Tameside residents can pop down to a community venue near them to meet the team, find out and link in with what’s happening in their community, explore volunteering and develop community opportunities that will help to strengthen their community.

Action Together is community focused and community based in 4C Community Centre, Haughton Green Centre, POP Hyde CIC, Together Centre @ Loxley House, Denton West End Community Library, St Barnabus Church, Emmaus Mossley and the Anthony Seddon Fund Centre.

The community venues cover Ashton-under-Lyne, Audenshaw, Denton, Dukinfield, Droylsden, Hyde, Longdendale, Mossley or Stalybridge.

Liz Windsor-Welsh, Chief Executive at Action Together, commented: “We help build stronger communities by bringing people together to improve the health and wellbeing of local people.

“Our Tameside Community Team is community focused and now community based in a range of local venues to give residents easy access to lots of community action opportunities. We invite you to come along to meet our staff and ask lots of questions about how we can work together to strengthen local organisations, bring your community action ideas to life and improve the wellbeing of local residents.”

Whether you’re a newly formed or a long established group, Action Together’s game changing free membership service provides added value to managing the day-to-day challenges of running your local group, saving you time to focus on what matters most to your group.

The charity is proud to have been delivering locally-focused projects including social prescribing, Healthwatch Tameside and Miles of Smiles to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents for many years.

Action Together CIO is the infrastructure organisation for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Oldham, Rochdale, and Tameside. Membership of Action Together is free and open to any VCFSE organisations in Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside.
