Stalybridge Neighbourhood Community Wellbeing Investment Programme Funding

Funding Update

The GP practices within the Stalybridge Neighbourhood (Stalybridge, Mossley and Dukinfield) would like to work with the local community to invest in building the capacity of local groups and their activities. We are particularly interested in listening to any ideas you may have that will make a difference to patients who are either socially isolated or may be considered to be frail. We know that local voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) groups have great ideas and are the experts in ‘non-medical’ support. We would like groups to apply for additional funding so existing groups could introduce additional activities/sessions for these patients to attend. Funding for additional sessions will be available for the next 12 months.

This investment is open to all local VCFSE groups that are members of Action Together CIO (becoming a member is simple, free and support is available to help you). We will support good ideas that meet the following priorities:

  • Improve wellbeing, and health of people with who are considered to be frail
  • Reduce social isolation (lack of contact with people and society)
  • Reduce loneliness (emotional response to a lack of connection or communication with people).
  • Create mutually beneficial networks of support and resilience (including carers).
  • Support people with low mood, low self-esteem / loss of confidence.
  • Support place-based working that improves lives in local communities.
