Volunteering opportunity with RBH

Do you live in a property rented from RBH? Would you like to play a key role in helping RBH to work with tenants and members to set up a Charter that will help to strengthen the relationship between RBH and our tenants and members.

This exciting volunteering opportunity will see you join a small group of around 15    like-minded people to develop a plan to gain the views of around 500 people living in our neighbourhoods across the borough. We will then support and train you to go out in groups and speak to people to ask for and record their views.  The group will then work with us to develop a Charter that reflects what you have heard.

It’s a great way to make a real different and to gain experience and boost your work ready skills.  You’ll gain experience in:

  • Working as part of a team both in meetings and communities
  • Planning a project
  • Carrying out research in our communities

You will receive training in community interviewing, reasonable expenses will be paid and RBH will provide references at the end of the project to support those seeking employment.

Interested? Tell us why you’d like to be a part of this and if there is anything in particular you hope to get out of the experience (we only need a brief outline, around 200 words).  Email it to TwTM@rbh.org.uk no later than 5pm Friday 23rd August 2019.  If you would like to find out more before you apply please email Sue or call on (01706) 273829

To apply you must live in a property rented from RBH and be available to attend the first meeting of the Group between  5.30pm to 7pm on Thursday 5 September.  Future meetings and activity times/dates will be flexible and agreed to suit the needs of the group members.
