The Rank Foundation – Pebble Grant

funding update

Aims/priorities: Our aim is to improve the lives of people and their communities, across the UK. We look to do this by encouraging and developing leadership and promoting enterprise and innovation. Pebble Grants can be used for either:

  • Capital costs – funding for fixed, one-time expenses incurred on the purchase of land, buildings, construction, and equipment.
  • Short break – funding is targeted towards respite breaks for children or adults, and short-term activities or programmes.

Applicants must have already raised a third of the total costs.

Who can apply?  UK-based church or Charity, CIC, CIO, CBS or Cooperative that is registered with the Charities' Commission and/or Companies House

Organisations must have an annual income of less than £500,000.

Grant amount: The Foundation does not publish deadlines or maximum amounts as this is dependent on the number of applications received.

The most commonly donated amount is £1,000. The total cost of the project should not exceed £150,000.

Application process: There are two application forms: one for capital costs and another for short breaks.

The online application forms can be found on the Foundation's website.

Deadline:  30 September 2020.  Any applications received after early October 2020 will be considered at the January 2021 meeting.
