Home-Start Oldham, Stockport & Tameside (HOST) is recruiting for a Parent Infant Mental Health (PIMH) Co-ordinator to cover the Oldham area, this new role is funded by Oldham CCG.

The role will involve recruiting and training volunteers to offer support to families with mild to moderate mental health needs, encouraging early relationships and keeping baby in mind.

The main objective of this post is to provide individual well-being support to parents and support the parent infant relationship during the peri-natal period who have been referred from the PIMH Integrated Care Pathway within Oldham.

The PIMH Service has extensive links with Health Visiting, Maternity Services, Children’s Centres, Adult Mental Health, and Children’s Social Care, etc.

To be successful in this role, you will experience of working with families with babies and children under 2 years of age, knowledge of early attachment and of the impact of parental mental health issues on child development.

Contract type: Fixed-term

Working hours: 36 hr

Salary: NJC Scales 12 – 20, £21,589 – £25,295

Location: Oldham
