State of the Sector 2017

Oldham and Tameside State of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector 2017 research has been commissioned by Action Together as part of 10GM (joint venture by the Greater Manchester Voluntary Sector Infrastructure Organisations - Action Together in Oldham and Tameside, Bolton CVS, CVS Rochdale, Macc, Salford CVS, VCAT, Wigan & Leigh CVS) with GMCVO and undertaken by the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) at Sheffield Hallam University. The Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside reports form part of a wider collection of reports: there is a Greater Manchester wide report and a report for each of the other local authority areas participating in the study (Bolton, Manchester, Salford, Stockport and Wigan). The full collection of reports can be downloaded from the CRESR website and the websites of the project partners.

In completing the report we are particularly grateful to members of the Research Steering Group and the Action Together team for their support in developing and administering the survey and for their input into earlier drafts of the report. We are also extremely grateful to the many employees and volunteers from across the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector who took the time to complete a questionnaire or participate in a focus group.
