Joint Equality Objectives 2020-2024 (Draft for Consultation)

Rochdale Borough Council and NHS Heywood Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning

Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Being ‘passionate’ about the diversity of the borough is at the heart of our values for Rochdale Borough Council (RBC) and NHS Heywood Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group (HMR CCG).

As Public Bodies, we want to provide high quality and accessible services that deliver what matters most to our diverse communities across our borough, localities and neighbourhoods.

We also want our workforce culture to promote and embrace equality, fairness and inclusion. We are committed to supporting our workforce to develop and to deliver and commission quality services.

Our Draft Joint Equality Objectives 2020-2024

Our draft Joint Equality Objectives 2020-2024 will be very important to us as public bodies. They guide the work we carry out in the borough and demonstrate our commitment to challenging inequality and promoting a fair and inclusive Rochdale borough.

By law (Equality Act 2010) we are required to set Equality Objectives every four years.

We have developed a set of proposed 5 high level, joint equality objectives (attached), developed because of a strategic review of equality, diversity and inclusion across our organisations and engagement and involvement with staff and communities. Please click here to see the proposed Equality Objectives.

We would now like to hear from our staff, stakeholders and members of the public to find out what you think of the draft joint equality objectives 2020-24 which will form our strategy for the next 4 years. Please read our proposed objectives (above) and click here to complete the survey.
