42nd Street recruiting a HR Manager. It is an award winning young people’s mental health charity working across Greater Manchester. 

You will be an experienced HR professional, career focused and driven to develop people, and organisational practice. You will be an excellent communicator, matched by a real attention to detail, planning and be deadline focused. You will have a rigorous approach to maintaining confidentiality, information governance and data protection standards. You will manage all HR systems and processes at 42nd Street. This will include full cycle recruitment processes and those for new, current and exiting staff. You will manage sickness and annual leave systems, analysing trends, reporting and making recommendations to the executive team. You will review and develop organisational HR policies, advising the executive and Board of changes in legislation, best practice approaches. You will liaise will staff across the organisation, and provide training to ensure all staff are confident in their understanding of HR policy and practice. You will work closely with our external HR consultants, particularly in matters relating to informal and formal staff performance processes. You will provide mediation and support line managers to managing conflict effectively. You will be pro-active in identifying and implementing HR initiatives such as staff benefits, staff relations based on annual surveys, evaluations and informal feedback. 

  • Salary: NJC Pts. 30-35 (£32,878 – £37,849) (pro rata) 
  • Hours of work: 30 hours per week 
  • Contract end date: Fixed term for one year, subject to funding with the possibility of extension 
  • Annual Leave 27 days per annum (pro rata)
