We are currently recruiting a Support with Complaints Officer (maternity cover). In this role you will specialise in the coordination and support for local people who wish to complain about care delivered by the NHS or social care providers. You will talk to clients who are unhappy with the NHS care they have received, help them to self-advocate, assist in their communication with NHS organisations and help them to navigate the formal NHS complaints process. You may also work as a member of the Healthwatch Tameside team to contribute to the effective delivery of wider Healthwatch activities.

Support with Complaints Officer (part time maternity cover)

Salary: NJC 19-22  £25,481-£27,041 (pro rata)

(actual £8,494-£9,014)

Contact Length: 12 months maternity cover

Working hours: 12 hours per week (open to discussion about working patterns)

In this role you will work alongside the Senior Officer for Complaints and Engagement, to support and advise people wishing to make a complaint about their NHS or social care experience.This role requires the post holder to undertake a DBS check. Confirmation in post is dependent on return of a satisfactory completed DBS check
