Greater Manchester Prevention Concordat Workshop for Better Mental Health

Aims of the Workshop

  • Continue the development of a GM Mental Wellbeing Vision and Plan, to form part of the refreshed GM Mental Health Strategy
  • To develop GM commitments within this plan that evidence how we will make the Prevention Concordat ‘real’ at a GM level
  • To begin the process of developing locality commitments that evidence how we will make the Prevention Concordat ‘real’ across the 10 localities

Greater Manchester has an ambition to do far more to enable local people to maintain positive mental wellbeing.
The GM Health and Social Care Partnership have recently invested almost £1million in kickstarting this ambition.  Alongside this,Greater Manchester has signed up to the national Prevention  Concordat for Better Mental Health and is keen to be an exemplar in translating this into real impact in our communities and neighbourhoods.
We all have a role to play in making this a reality and we would like to invite you to a half day workshop to explore how we can collaborate further and turn our words in meaningful actions which make a real difference to local people.

The workshop is taking place on Wednesday 20 November 2019, 1.30pm - 4pm at  Elliot Suite, Manchester Chamber of Commerce, 151 Deansgate, M3 3JD Manchester
