Oldham
Oldham Emergency Response Volunteering
Volunteers have been at the heart of Oldham's crisis response and we need more people to give time to get our communities through this winter. Action Together volunteers have been working at the foodbank, befriending isolated people in their communities, and speaking to people on their doorsteps about how to keep safe. This webpage has everything you need to know about the Oldham Emergency Response Volunteer roles.
Age UK - Neighbourly Volunteering
In these challenging times, lots of people have been asking us how they can support older people who are staying at home. The services delivered by Age UK Oldham typically require an application and training process that can take several weeks to complete. In order to best support those older people who may be in need of some simple assistance immediately, we want to encourage you to take part in neighbourly volunteering. Age UK have put together a simple training video and produced postcards you can complete to offer help and to provide some key information to your older neighbours click here
As we start #Lockdown3 we're still in the position wher families lack the required equipment to access #onlinelearning
If you have an old working laptop lying around, get it to us and we'll wipe it, fill it with free softeware and get it distributed.
Oldham Foodbank wants to make sure that no one in our local community has to go hungry, but it needs your help to make this happen. Click here to give a gift of financial support, time, business partnership and food which can make a real difference.
