LGBT HISTORY MONTH

Come and join The Proud Trust on 25th February 2020 to celebrate LGBT History Month. The session will be an opportunity to hear about the work we are doing in Oldham and across Greater Manchester, explore some of our resources for working with young people and participate in some exercises from our safer person project toolkit (if you want to!!).

The event is free runs 3pm to 5pm on 25 February 2020 at Gallery Oldham with refreshments provided. If you are interested then please contact cath.hayes@theproudtrust.org.

On the same day....

If you are a young person or work with young people in Oldham then come celebrate LGBT+ History Month with Youth Out In Oldham, The Proud Trust's local youth group! If you have a group of young people who might be interested, please bring them along.

We will be displaying the group's artwork, running activities, doing a tour of Gallery Oldham and enjoying a buffet of tasty snacks.

The event will run 5pm to 7pm at Gallery Oldham. If you are interested then please contact olivia.ouwehand@theproudtrust.org.

MULTI AGENCY TRAINING

On 16 March we are offering a full days training.

The course is "working with gender variant and non-binary young people" and is free for anyone working in Oldham. The day wiil provide 

· An indepth exploration of gender and identity

· Explore and challenge myths and misrepresentation

· Examine the legal framework and obligations required for services to meet the needs of trans gender variant and non-binary young people

· Offer appropriate signposting to organisations for support
