Answer Cancer Fund

Would your organisation like to help play a part in boosting cancer screening rates in Greater Manchester?
Financial support is available to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations who can help recruit Answer Cancer Champions to promote cancer screening amongst under-represented groups.

Waitrose Community Support Fund

A £1m Community Support Fund will be available to communities across the UK to help those in need in their local communities. Teams in each shop will work together with their communities to choose the best way to use the fund. Help could include setting up additional local delivery services to support the self-isolating, the vulnerable, the elderly and those looking after them; delivering boxes of staples to local care homes and community groups, and donating products to create care packages for customers to share with vulnerable neighbours. Applications can be made in-store.

Co-operative Bank - Customer Donation Fund

Not for profit organisations that have a Community Directplus account with the Co-operative Bank can apply for grants of up to £1,000 from the Customer Donation Fund.

The money can be used to support special projects and fundraising activities and all Community Directplus account holders are eligible to apply.

The closing date for applications is the 30 September 2020.

The Antonio Carluccio Foundation

The Antonio Carluccio Foundation was established in 2017 by the famous Italian cookery writer, cook and food expert with the principle of ‘Training to Feed, feeding For Life’. The funding is intended to support hospitality related training and development, to promote a better understanding of food origins and nutrition and to make direct support available for organisations working to feed those in need.

Morrisons Foundation - COVID-19 Homeless Support Fund

The Morrisons Foundation Trustees is making £500,000 available through the Homeless Support Fund to support charities caring for the homeless during the coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak and ensure help gets to those who need it most.

The funding is for homeless people who are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 because they are more likely to have underlying health conditions and are less able to access basic sanitation. For those who are sleeping rough or are in a crowded night shelter, it is impossible to self-isolate and maintain social distance.

Cash 4 Kids Appeal - Basic Essentials Family Grant/Fund

Due to the unprecedented demand for applications we have temporarily closed our application process to allow us to distribute the funds we have available to date. Applications will re-open once additional funding becomes available.

These grants are available to organisations seeking to help the individual families that they work with affected by poverty due to the Covid-19 virus. £35 is available per child for children up to and including 18. Please note that Cash 4 Kids could change this sum at their discretion at anytime.

Tesco Bags of Help COVID-19 Communities Fund

Tesco Bags of Help is responding to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis by setting up a new short-term fund to support local communities. The programme is set up to support organisational need in this time of crisis rather than fund specific projects. Successfuls applications will receive a single payment award of £500 to organisations who are supporting vulnerable groups. Due to the need to respond quickly to the emergency we have created a streamlined application process and payment process to make it easier to get funds distributed quickly.  

Alpkit - Go Nice Places, Do Good Things Grant

Alpkit are the charity that helps people Go Nice Places, Do Good Things. However, recent global events call for a shift of focus over the coming months. Alpkit are now prioritising funds to support projects that demonstrate an immediate impact on those affected by the Covid-19 virus crisis.

As a community, Alpkit believe they are a resourceful and adventurous bunch and welcome any applications from individuals or organisations serving those affected by coronavirus, across the country.

The National Emergencies Trust (NET)

The National Emergencies Trust (NET) has launched a coronavirus fundraising appeal to raise funds for local charities. The British Red Cross will be managing donations.  NET will award grants and distribute money raised through a number of charitable organisations, for example local community foundations. Partners will work within parameters agreed with NET “to help identify the greatest need and distribute funds with both care and speed wherever possible”.
