Event about data use in VCSE organisations is looking for contributors

GMCVO is looking for examples of how VCSE organisations in Greater Manchester have used data in their work.

If your organisation has used data to inform your service delivery, secure funding or demonstrate the value of your work, you could be paid £150 to contribute to an event that GMCVO is organising in partnership with the UK Data Service.

The event is entitled “Data for Good: A celebration of data in the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector” and will take place online on 11 November, 10am – 1pm. It is part of the national ESRC-funded Festival of Social Science, which demonstrates how social sciences have contributed to society.

At the event we would like to feature examples of VCSE organisations’ uses of data. Contributors will get the opportunity to showcase their work by presenting at the event, writing a short blog about their data use and discussing this with event attendees.

We are looking for examples of using the following types of data:

  • Survey data e.g. Labour Force Survey or Census data
  • Sectoral data e.g. charity commission data
  • Data collected by yourself about your service users

If you would like to contribute please contact susanne.martikke@gmcvo.org.uk .
