PCrefurb is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation with the aim of engaging the IT skills of those in the community who need help overcoming various difficulties and challenges, recruiting them as volunteers to obtain and refurbish donated IT equipment to then give to those in need. The organisation has gone from strength to strength, and is now proud to be partnering with the NHS on an exciting digital literacy programme - the ‘Digital Wellbeing Project’ which is in its second year of delivery.

The aim of the Digital Wellbeing Project is to help people develop beginner to mid-level digital skills, and to build their confidence in using devices to access online services. Clients are shown how to use the internet in order to help with day-to-day activities and improve their health and wellbeing. Training is carried out by the Digital Wellbeing Team and Digital Champion Volunteers. Clients can also be referred into the project to receive equipment only, if not having the means to purchase their own is the obstacle preventing them from accessing the digital world.

We are looking for an efficient, highly organised, creative and self-motivated individual with excellent people skills, and a patient, relaxed and friendly manner to help deliver person-centred digital skills training within the Digital Wellbeing Project.  This position will require visiting a number of different locations across Glossop and Tameside every day.

Contract: 7 months Fixed Term Contract with a three month probation period (extension likely subject to funding).

Hours:  22.5 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday).

Salary: £22,500 gross per annum pro rata (plus pension contribution).
