Community Development Worker – Big Local Oldham

Action Together is recruiting a community development worker to develop and deliver engagement and asset-based community development with residents and local partners across the three Big Local communities of Clarksfield, Greenacres and Littlemoor in Oldham.

This exciting and innovative programme puts residents at the heart of decision making, taking action and finding solutions to the local priorities of: people, new opportunities, environment, wellbeing and economy, through the principles of involvement, partnership and sustainability. 

The Big Local Oldham community development worker will provide support to the resident representatives from the Big Local Oldham Partnership Board, local people, voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise groups and partners. Salary: £24,799 - £26,317 (NJC scale point 19-22 for April 19/20 scales pro rata)

Term of Contract: One year

Hours: 18 hours per week

Line Manager: Development and Volunteering Co-ordinator

Main contacts: Local residents, volunteers and staff from local VCFSE groups and organisations, officers from public sector partner agencies, Elected Members, all Action Together teams.

Responsible for: Volunteers supporting the programme.
