Because we all care campaign

Are you struggling to access health and care services this winter?

Doctors, nurses and healthcare staff are doing their best to provide good quality care. But did you know public feedback can play a vital role in helping these services spot issues quickly?

With the NHS under extra pressure this winter, we need to hear about your experiences of care to help services understand what is working and spot issues affecting support for you and your loved ones.

For more information about this campaign, and to have your say, please see our website at www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/news/2023-01-18/are-you-struggling-access-health-and-care-services-winter

GP patient survey

The GP Patient Survey is an independent survey run by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England. The survey is sent out to over two million people across England. The results show how people feel about their GP practice.

COVID-19 vaccination update

From Sunday 12 February 2023, COVID-19 booster vaccinations will no longer be offered to 16 to 49-year-olds - except those who are considered at greater risk from serious illness. Some people who are at increased risk, for example because of age or certain medical conditions, may be offered a seasonal booster later this year. If you are eligible for this, the NHS will contact you when it’s your turn to get vaccinated.

Anyone who has not yet had a booster is encouraged to make an appointment before 12 February.

For more information, and to see who is eligible, see www.tameside.gov.uk/covidvaccine (includes information about flu vaccination) and www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/
