Delays in non-urgent care survey report

What did people tell us about their experience of delays to care since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic? Find out in this report.

As well as finding out what type of care people were waiting for, and for how long, people also told us about how the delays affected their health and wellbeing.

The report can be read on our website at www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/report/2022-09-22/delays-non-urgent-care-survey-report-2022

If you would like to tell us about care you have received (or may still be waiting for), our 'Health and care experiences survey' can be completed at www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/share-your-views

While you wait

In October 2021, While You Wait (https://whileyouwait.org.uk/) launched to support people who are on the waiting list for planned hospital care. The website is designed to provide people with information and advice, including things they can do to help manage their physical and mental health while they wait for their appointment or treatment.

They have now launched new pages for people waiting for Orthopaedics, Gastro and Children’s surgery. They can be accessed through “Your treatment” on the navigation bar at the top of the page.
