Today, Healthwatch England have launched their new campaign ‘Your Care, Your Way’.

Clear, understandable information is important to help you make decisions about your health and care and to get the most out of services.

Community Champions event

Tameside Champions invite you to attend a celebration, information and networking event. This is for Tameside residents to find out more about local community representatives, organisations and charities and learn how they can support you and your family. This is being held at Hyde Town Hall on Tuesday 1 March 2022, from 10am to 3pm.

SEND workshop

Tameside Council are hosting a SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Workshop for interested parties and parents to engage in the improvement of the SEND Local Area Offer for children and families. The event will take place at Hyde Town Hall, on Thursday 3rd March 2022 at 10am.

Pennine Care interpretation and translation

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust provide interpretation and translation services for their service users. The contract is due to end soon.

Before looking for a provider to continue the service, they want to find out what people who need to use these services think makes a good service. If they (or their families) have used interpretation and translation services, what worked? What needs to be improved?

Surveys are being produced in a number of languages, which will be launched shortly.

Before then, there is an opportunity to have your say in person. Translators will be available. The event is being held in Oldham, and is being repeated on three dates in March 2022.
