Healthwatch surveys

Our current surveys will be closing soon.

The online link to all our surveys is www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/share-your-views.  Please share this link with your family, friends and colleagues, and complete yourself, if you haven't already.

If you, or someone you know, has got one of the paper copies, it is still ok to complete these and post them back (please ignore the closing date on the front, as we extended the surveys).

If you have already completed our existing surveys, thank you. We will be launching new surveys shortly, and will let you know when these are available.

Thank you for your support.

Partnership Engagement Network (PEN)

The PEN have two areas they are looking for feedback from members of the public:

TMBC Customer Services Review - The way that customers access services has changed over recent years, due to changes in technological advancements and increasing access as well as the Covid-19 pandemic. These circumstances of accelerated change combined with decreasing budgets have presented an opportunity to review the way they deliver services. This consultation is running to 19 September 2021.

For more information, and to complete the survey, see www.tameside.gov.uk/tbc/customerservicesreviewconsultation

Future of PEN - As they look to the future, and the further easing of Covid-19 restrictions, they want to ensure that the Partnership Engagement Network is engaging with people in the most effective way possible. They would be grateful if you could let them know your thoughts and views about the future of the Partnership Engagement Network and how they can best engage with you.

They want to know what they could do better? Or what about PEN already works well? They want to know how you would prefer to engage with PEN in the future? Or if you think there are any groups missing from PEN that should be included?

They want to hear from people who regularly attend PEN conferences and events, but also from people who do not regularly attend, or have never attended, to find out what barriers may be in place for people and how best they can address them.

They would be grateful if you could let them know your views by completing the following short survey by the 16 July 2021: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/futureofpen

Greater Manchester Effective Use of Resources

The Greater Manchester (GM) Effective Use Of Resources (EUR) Team have announced the introduction of their new website. This is what it says:

To make sure that the NHS can provide the best care for the maximum number of people it is vital that every penny is spent wisely. This means only funding treatments that have been demonstrated to work and where there is also a high likelihood of benefit for as many people as possible and a low likelihood of harm. We always have to bear in mind that carrying out treatment that is not of great health benefit uses up resources that could be spent on really making a difference elsewhere.

The new website can be accessed at https://gmeurnhs.co.uk/. The site contains information for patients who can view GM EUR treatment policies, any local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) treatment policies, and information about the process.

Assisted conception and fertility treatment

Have your say in shaping the future of assisted conception and fertility treatment services across Greater Manchester

People in Greater Manchester are being asked to share their experiences and views about assisted conception and fertility treatment services to help shape the future of the service. Commissioners across Greater Manchester want to hear your views: what works well now and what needs to be improved?

What do we mean by assisted conception and fertility treatment?

Assisted conception is a collective name for treatments designed to lead to conception by means other than sexual intercourse.

If you or a family member have experienced fertility problems or are currently undergoing treatment or may need to access a fertility treatment service in the future, they want to hear from you. Find out more at www.gmhsc.org.uk/get-involved/surveys-consultations/

The deadline to complete the survey is 27 July 2021.
