As part of the government’s Safer Streets grant, funding is available for interventions to improve the safety of public spaces for all, with a particular focus on areas of potential concern to women and girls. Tameside Council are putting in a bid with a focus on the Stamford Park area. You can take a short survey about how safe you feel in Stamford Park here. In addition, Hayley (TMBC Community Safety) is looking for local woman and girls who are interested in helping with this piece of work. Tameside Cycling Programme-Your views countCycling UK are running a survey for Tameside residents with a view to setting up a free community cycling programme in Tameside. The programme will be designed to help those identified as having either poor mental or physical health, through a 12-week group cycling programme.
