Can you help us, please?

Our COVID-19 survey has been open since May 2020. The final questions on the survey ask for anonymous information about the person completing the survey.

We have looked at this information, and are interested in hearing from more people who answer 'yes' to one or more from the following list:

The survey is still open, and we would love people to complete it. Everyone’s views are important, and we want as many people as possible to have an opportunity to have their say.

The link for the online survey is www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/covid-19-survey.

There is also a post pinned to the top of our Facebook page which can be shared www.facebook.com/HealthwatchTameside/

People can give us a call on 0161 667 2526 to request a paper copy and FREEPOST envelope, or we can call people back to fill in the survey over the phone with them.

Please share with your family, friends and neighbours.

Thank you.

Dental services

This website explains how to find an NHS dentist www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/dentists/how-to-find-an-nhs-dentist/

It states:

There is no need to register with a dentist in the same way as with a GP because you are not bound to a catchment area. Simply find a dental surgery that's convenient for you, whether it's near your home or work, and phone them to see if there are any appointments available.

Dental surgeries will not always have the capacity to take on new NHS patients – you may have to join a waiting list, look for a different dentist who is taking on new NHS patients, or be seen privately.

Once you find a dental surgery, you may have to fill in a registration form at your first visit, which is just to add you to their patient database. However, that does not mean you have guaranteed access to an NHS dental appointment in the future.

The website also explains what to do if you can’t find a dentist, how to look for urgent dental care, when to visit A & E, and provides information about NHS dental charges.

Parents of 2 and 3 year olds

Small children can become very unwell with flu and complications - it’s not ‘just’ flu.  Children aged 2 and 3 years old are entitled to a free flu vaccination.  It is the best protection against the flu virus.

If your child was aged 2 or 3 on the 31 August, protect them and those around them with a free flu vaccine. It’s just a quick nasal spray. To find out more speak to your GP today.
