Since we produced a brief report last week, giving a snapshot of the responses received so far in our COVID-19 survey, we have already received considerable interest from the commissioners and providers of services in Tameside. A copy of the interim report can be found at www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/news/healthwatch-tameside-covid-19-survey-interim-report-june-2020 We have been asked about people's experiences of using their GP during lockdown so far. Also, we have been asked what people would like to see happening in the future, and how technology might play a part in that. As we receive more completed surveys, if the overall picture changes, we will feed this into the decision-making system. We will produce another interim report in mid-July. Please be assured - we express all points of view. We know some people are happy using video conferencing for appointments, for example, but other people do not use computers and want a face-to-face appointment. If you have already completed the survey, thank you very much. However, the information received so far, might be different to your experiences and wishes for the future. If you have not completed the survey yet, please let us know your ideas by completing it at www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/covid-19-survey We want as many people as possible to have the chance to 'Have their say'. Please pass on the link to your friends and family. The more voices we hear, the stronger our message to commissioners and providers of services can be. Know someone who would like a paper version of the survey? Please get in touch on 0161 667 2526 or email info@healthwatchtameside.co.uk with contact address details. We will post a survey, with a FREEPOST envelope for return of the completed survey. We can also complete the survey over the phone, if people would prefer that. Thank you.
