Healthwatch Tameside still open In line with Government guidance, the Healthwatch Tameside office (based in the Volunteer Centre, Ashton) is closed to the public. Staff are currently working from home, and still have access to phones and emails. We all work part-time, so please bear with us, if you do not receive an immediate response. Local resources Here is some information you may find useful. Citizens Advice Bureau Tameside (CAB) - New clients can access CAB via the Adviceline on 0300 330 9076, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, contact the email advice service on: advice@tamesidecab.org.uk or access webchat through https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/. These services can provide the same level of advice as the face to face services so you don’t need to see someone to get advice. Ongoing advice work on existing cases will continue, and for existing cases you can continue to contact CAB on the contact details given to you when your case was opened, or via telephone and email as above. Tameside Council parent resources - www.tameside.gov.uk/coronavirus/parentresources Mental health support - www.tamesideandglossopccg.org/mentalhealthsupport Volunteering - see the Action Together website. This includes providing help during the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. www.actiontogether.org.uk/covid-19 Community support - many local communities are setting up support for the vulnerable and isolated, to help deliver food and collect medicines, etc. Please watch out for scammers though, in person and online.
