Volunteers Week
Volunteers' Week is a chance to celebrate and say thank you for the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK. It takes place 1st – 7th June every year and is an opportunity to celebrate volunteering in all its diversity. Healthwatch Tameside has volunteers helping us to do our work. We would like to thank them all - without our volunteers we would not be able to do everything on our workplan. We are currently recruiting more volunteers - could you spare an hour or two? It might be once a week, once a month, or on an ad hoc basis to suit you. Give us a ring on 0161 667 2526, or email info@healthwatchtameside.co.uk if you would like to know more.
Engagement across Greater Manchester
Vascular Services Patient and Carer Questionnaire The Greater Manchester Specialist Care Programme is reviewing hospital-based vascular services to make them the best they can be and to ensure that they are sustainable for the future. This looks at vascular conditions not related to the heart and brain i.e. heart attack and stroke. They are looking to gather the experiences of those who have used the service and their relatives in order to plan future services and here is the survey. The deadline for this consultation is 28 June 2019.
Wheelchair services review
The GM Health & Social Care Partnership are conducting a Wheelchair review of both Adults and Children’s services across GM. There is currently a lot of variation in the wheelchair services causing inequality and poor provision in some parts of GM. Here is the link to the survey, and the closing date is 28 June 2019.
