Cancer early detection survey
The Detecting Cancer Early Research Priorities Survey asks cancer patients, their carers and the public to suggest new areas that scientists can research to detect cancer early. The earlier cancer is detected the more likely it is that treatment will be effective. Dr Ellena Badrick, Cancer Data Scientist at the Manchester BRC and The University of Manchester says, " People, with a personal experience of cancer, are likely to have suggestions about how we can focus differently on cancer early detection. We want their ideas in order to prioritise a top 10 list of unanswered research questions. These questions will inform future studies and, ultimately, effect healthcare advice and practice - hopefully saving more lives." The survey closes on 28 February 2019.

Millgate Healthcare Partnership
During the summer of 2018, Healthwatch Tameside carried out a project looking at the experiences of patients, following the merger of the Churchgate and Windmill medical practices. A report was produced and shared with the practice, who reacted positively to our findings and recommendations. A lengthy action plan was forwarded to Healthwatch Tameside. Millgate Healthcare Partnership have recently added a new section to their website - 'You said... We did....' in response to our work. The report and action plan were shared with CQC, at an inspection in November. Further information, and a copy of our report, can be found on our website at http://www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/news/working-millgate-healthcare-partnership Care Quality Commission reports
