General Data Protection Regulations

New General Data Protection Regulations come into effect on 25th May 2018. This updated legislation means we have to ask everyone we hold identifiable details for to ‘opt in,’ so we can hold your details on our database. Below is the link for you to ‘opt in’. You can choose what you would like to receive from us (similar to the type of information that you already receive). ‘Opting in’ gives us your consent to send you information.

If your consent is not received, then your details will be removed from the Healthwatch Tameside database and you will no longer receive information. You can change your mind at any time, by contacting us on 0161 667 2526 or through our website at https://www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/content/contact.

The NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NHS DPP)
- Have Your Say

There is no cure for diabetes. The good news is that three in five cases of Type 2 diabetes can be prevented or delayed.

Diabetes UK are working with the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NHS DPP) to help people at high risk of developing Type 2 diabetes become healthier and avoid the condition. It's the first national programme to do this. In March 2019, the programme will be renewed and they would like to hear your views on plans to make it even more accessible.

Read more about the proposed changes in their NHS DPP information sheet (PDF, 339KB) and complete their online survey to help them shape the programme for the future.

Have your say on MSK/Orthopaedic services

A Greater Manchester hospital service review is currently taking place. There is a team involving doctors, patients and other healthcare staff from across the region working together to make the Musculoskeletal/Orthopaedic Service the best it can be and to make it sustainable and affordable for the future.

They would be grateful if you could spare a few minutes to complete a survey to help them understand how you feel about the hospital based services for Musculoskeletal/Orthopaedics that you (or a friend/relative) have used in Greater Manchester and ask how you think they could be improved. Your opinions will help identify what is important to patients and what needs to be considered from a patient perspective in the design of any future services.

Participation in this survey is entirely voluntary and will not affect any services you are currently receiving. This is about you helping them to plan future services.

To complete the survey, please click on the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/GMortho
