Healthwatch Tameside celebrate 1000 outreach sessions

Healthwatch Tameside are celebrating their 1000th outreach engagement session on Wednesday 19 December 2018.

We will be at Tameside Hospital in the Hartshead South entrance, with a cake cutting ceremony at 1.30pm, attended by guests, members of staff and volunteers.

This will be followed by our usual outreach until 3pm - talking to members of the public about their experiences of using health and care services.

Come and talk to us if you are visiting the hospital at this time.

Christmas opening hours - GPs and pharmacies

If you run out of medication or need to get medical help over the Christmas and New Year period, information can be found on the Tameside & Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group website about which services are open.

NICE guide to dementia

A quick guide for people with dementia and their family and carers.

A new quick guide from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) highlights the support that is available for people and families after a dementia diagnosis. It can be found here.

Tameside & Glossop Strategic Commission budget conversation 2019/20

Tameside Council (TMBC) and NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) have come together to form the Tameside and Glossop Strategic Commission. They are responsible for a range of services from bin collections through care for the elderly to the provision of GP surgeries.
For more information, and to take part in the survey, see the Tameside & Glossop CCG website.
Happy Christmas!

Healthwatch Tameside will close for Christmas on Friday 21 December 2018, and open again after the New Year on Wednesday 2 January 2019.
