Action Together are offering Part 2 of the Introduction to Trustee Roles and Responsibilities training session to those who are thinking of becoming a Trustee or are a Trustee who would like to understand more about what their role entails and how to carry it out to the best of their ability.

 

Aims of session:

To understand what the role of a trustee entails 

Learning Outcomes:

In this session you will: 

  • Learn some key facts about VCFSE sector in the UK and the challenges they face 
  • Learn who the Charity Commission are and your mutual responsibilities 
  • Develop your understanding of the challenges that trustees can face and how to manage them 
  • Learn what information can be found in a governing document 
  • Understand how to manage risk and to limit trustee liability 

Suitable for: 

  • Volunteers interested in becoming a trustee 
  • People responsible for recruiting and supporting trustees 
  • Existing trustees who would like a refresher

Attendance information:

The training course is for VCFSE groups who are based in/operate in Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside.

You will need to register to attend the training session and there are a limited number of places available. The sessions will be delivered online via the Zoom platform and login details will be sent one day before the session to registered participants.
