designed to give an understanding of the needs of people with a visual impairment. It provides practical solutions that can be employed straight away. It gives staff the confidence to engage with people with a visual impairment. Following the training people will have an understanding of: residual vision, communication skills, terminology, description skills, and some basic problem-solving skills.
