FASD Learning Session 6 - Raising Awareness of FASD

A series of 6 lunchtime sessions for parents and professionals to learn about different aspects of Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) from a parent or community-based support organisation’s perspective.

 

Each session with begin with sharing an experience and be followed by an informal discussion on the following themes.

This week the theme of the discussion will be:

  •  Raising Awareness of FASD

Raising Awareness of FASD can be challenging and stigma can be a significant barrier to sharing experiences.  We will discuss difficulties we have experienced in raising awareness and how we have overcome some of the challenges.
