A series of 6 lunchtime sessions for parents and professionals to learn about different aspects of Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) from a parent or community-based support organisation’s perspective.
Each session with begin with sharing an experience and be followed by an informal discussion on the following themes.
This week the theme of the discussion will be:
- FASD Experiences of Education
This session will offer space for parents and carers to share experiences of supporting their children through their educational journey. Discussion will cover the challenges that can be encountered in obtaining the right educational support, the difficulties arising when children "mask" in school, the issues around home learning highlighted by the pandemic. We will also look at good practice and FASD awareness in educational settings.
