FASD Learning Session 4 - FASD - Men's role

A series of 6 lunchtime sessions for parents and professionals to learn about different aspects of Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) from a parent or community-based support organisation’s perspective.

Each session with begin with sharing an experience and be followed by an informal discussion on the following themes.

This week the theme of the discussion will be:

  • FASD - Men's role

Men can have a unique and powerful relationship with FASD affected children, leading by example, offering uniquely male inspiration and providing dependable role model behaviour. We will discuss what men can bring to the table and how to recognise and encourage men's contribution.

We will hear about how one community group is supporting men around FASD and discuss barriers to participation and how to improve men’s involvement.

Please register below to book your place. You will receive the zoom information prior to the session.
