Beginners Guide to Funding Applications

A workshop designed to help improve your bid writing skills and recognise what the funders are looking for.

This beginner’s course is for those with little or no experience of writing funding applications for small pots of money (up to £10,000). This course aims to improve your skills and confidence in writing funding applications. It will assist you to recognise how to match your project activities to appropriate Funder’s priorities and guidelines. We will also be looking at how to work up strong answers to key questions asked by Funders in application forms.

By the end of this workshop you will:

  • understand the key terms funders use and in what context
  • be able to evidence the need for a project
  • know how to develop relevant outcomes and outputs for potential projects
  • Gain valuable insight into what the funder is asking.
