GM VCSE Assembly: Probation Reform Programme - VCSE Involvement

This workshop will be hosted by Novus, who have recently met with GMCVO and Clinks, and are in the process of bidding to deliver under the new probation reform programme.  They would like to have an early conversation with VCSE organisations about what their role might be in delivery.

Novus is part of the LTE Group https://www.ltegroup.co.uk/, a non-profit based in Greater Manchester. We have a long history of delivering services in the justice sector, including ‘Through The Gate’ services, Approved Premises services, Community Payback, community based rehabilitation and prison education.

"Novus is now seeking to deliver new services as part of the Ministry of Justice Probation Reform programme. The commissioning process is underway and we would like to have a discussion with third sector organisations in Greater Manchester to get your views on the reforms and what the new services need to do to be effective".

"We are keen to work with all kinds of VCSE organisations and this is an opportunity to work together to deliver services that would support rehabilitation and skills development with women, young adults and those Service Users from BAME communities, and /or placements for Unpaid Work that are embedded in local communities".

"We are currently exploring sub-contracting certain elements of the new service as well as looking for partners who would be willing to provide community-based placements and would like to hear from organisations who might be interested in working with us to explore these opportunities further".
