Health Literacy Training

Health Literacy is the ability to access, deliver or receive relevant health information to help make decisions to improve health, it is central to effective self-care and empowerment.

We are delighted to offer free places on our new Health Literacy course.

Learning outcomes

By attending this course participants will be able to :

• Understand the difficulties some people have in accessing and using important health information.

• Explain the techniques available to support people with low health literacy.

• Identify effective health literacy resources.

• Explore how you would use health literacy support in your role and setting.

The training is for community leaders, community groups, community volunteers only.
