In this series of #WednesdaysWeekly sessions, we are sharing some of the platforms and methods in our virtual facilitation toolkit which help make meetings more engaging and collaborative. Each week we will explore a different (free) virtual tool, when and how it can be useful in meetings or workshops, and give you a chance to try it out and ask questions.

 

This week we will focus on virtual whiteboards (Miro and Jamboard)

This week we will focus on one of the most useful parts of a facilitators toolbox – flipchart and post it notes. Virtual whiteboards are a great way to replace these in online meetings and make sessions feel more engaging and collaborative. We will learn about two of the main platforms – Miro and Jamboard.

The Virtual Facilitation Toolbox:

•             Week 1: virtual whiteboards (Miro and Jamboard)

•             Week 2: polls and wordclouds (Mentimeter and Slido)

•             Week 3: creative uses of Breakout Rooms (Zoom and Liberating Structures)

•             Week 4: collaborative note-taking (Google Docs and Google Slides)

•             Week 5: virtual facilitation clinic (bring your challenges, ideas, tips and tricks to share and solve together)
