Tameside Christmas Toy Appeal

Tameside Christmas Toy Appeal drop off points will be available from Monday 5 November until Monday 10 December. We have 30 local drop off points including, Inspire Academy, NSL Ltd, St Mary's Church Haughton Green, Droylsden Library, Rosebuds Nursery, Grafton Centre. If you would like to be become a drop off point contact 1 in 4 children in Tameside live in poverty. Tameside individuals, organisations and businesses can bring a smile to the faces of these children on Christmas Day morning. The Tameside Christmas Toy Appeal is organised by Tameside 4 Good, Tameside Reporter, Tameside Radio and Tameside Council's Early Help Team. We would like to thank you for your contribution.

Dress up Silly Friday 14 December

It’s that time of year again where we ask you to wear your silliest Christmas outfit, share some festive fun with your colleagues and help raise a little money for your local community. We have over 20 local businesses, nurserys and community groups joining in the festive fun including, ABC Nursery Hyde, Ace, Bennett Staff, Bradleys Bakery, Diamond Decorators, Hattersley Practice, Pearsons Solictors and the Village Hotel Ashton and Hyde. Last year we had Christmas Jumpers, Cheeky Christmas Elf’s, Reindeers, Father Christmas and even Mrs. Claus. What can you do this year to win our best dressed badge and trophy? Tandem Skydive - March 2018 TBC

Stop dreaming - Start Flying! Take to the skies and join for this high flying challenge. Whether you want to face your fears or tick a skydive off your bucket list - this is the event for you. Paint it Pink - 13 May to 17 May 2019

Tameside 4 Good is giving you a unique opportunity to show your friends, neighbours, colleagues and the local community that you care from Mon 13 May to Fri 17 May. Please donate £2 and be part of the pinkest day in history. Rally your friends, family and colleagues to paint Tameside pink. Add a splash of pink to your  work wardrobe by wearing a cerise tie, slip on fuchsia heels, paint your nails hot pink or maybe a pink morphsuit to show your support and brighten up your workplace. Or maybe someone who loves to bake and ask them use their skills to create delicious ink treats for a cake sale. Ben Nevis 15 June 2019

We have spaces available for indivduals to take on the challenge. Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the British Isle standing at 4,411ft above sea level, it is based at the end of the Grampion Mountains, close to Fort William. For more information contact Candice on 0161 339 2345 or email 

Shark Dive

In November 2017,  4 Jawsome people took part in our Sponsored Shark Dive to raise funds for Tameside 4 Good. They raised over £1,500 for local causes across Tameside.Kerry Gilham from Diamond Decorators said “It was such an amazing experience being close up to the various sharks, including Betty the 10ft sand shark whilst at the same time raising money for Tameside 4 Good.  Thanks for giving me this opportunity it was a great day.

A project Tameside 4 Good has funded:

Baggy Trousers UK were funded a Tameside 4 Good grant that helped fund the production of their very first awareness video, designed to educate males on the signs and the symptoms of testicular cancer in a light-hearted way. Have a look at their video
