BBC Children in Need - COVID-19 Next Step Grants Programme

Aims/priorities: In addition to its regular grant-making programmes, BBC Children in Need is providing the COVID-19 Next Step Grant Programme which is designed to fund sustained responses to the coronavirus/COVID-19 situation.

The funding is intended to help organisations with more complex service adaption, including additional staffing requirements. It is designed to be as flexible as possible, covering a wide range of activities.

For groups that are unable to apply to this first round, a second Next Steps programme is expected to open in October 2020.

Historic England - COVID-19 Emergency Heritage at Risk Response Fund

Aims/priorities: The COVID-19 Emergency Heritage at Risk Response Fund is a £3 million temporary funding stream, which is provided and administered by Historic England.

The funding is intended to help fund urgent maintenance, repairs and surveys at some of England’s locally cherished historic buildings and sites.

Asda Foundation - COVID-19 Healthy Holiday Grants

Aims/priorities: The ASDA Foundation's grants programmes aim to support grassroots charitable organisations working at the heart of its stores' communities with initiatives that will make a real long-term difference, benefiting the wider community. Healthy Holiday Grants are designed to support charitable groups that typically would be holding summer holiday activities to ensure children are provided with a hot meal.

The Charity Service Grant Fund

Aims/priorities: The Grant Fund is provided and administered by the Charity Service, a registered charity supporting third sector organisations in Greater Manchester. The funding is intended for local organisations working with people who are disadvantaged, sick, infirm, or living in poverty in the area.

Who can apply? Registered charities, community interest companies (CICs) and voluntary organisations are welcome to apply. Multiple applications from one organisation will be considered although these must not be for the same purpose.

Discretionary Cash Grants

Aims/priorities: This guidance is intended to support Oldham based businesses applying to Oldham Council for a grant from the Local Authority Discretionary Grants Fund announced by the Government on 1 May 2020. 

This guidance sets out the criteria under which businesses will qualify to make an application to the Local Authority Discretionary Grants Fund, and the evidence required to support an application, and is aligned with the Government guidance issued on 23 May 2020.

National Lottery Coronavirus Funding

Aims/priorities: The £200 million Coronavirus Community Support Fund is part of the Government’s £750 million financial support package for charities and social enterprises during announced on 8 April 2020.

The £200 million Support Fund is being administered by the National Lottery Community Fund along with National Lottery funding to support not-for-profit organisations so that they can continue to deliver services to people and communities in England that are affected by COVID-19.

The Fund has two key objectives:

Forever Manchester Community Support Fund

During these uncertain times, we know that grassroot community groups are responding to the impact of Covid-19 through kindness, coming together to help those most affected however they can.
To support these local responses, Forever Manchester is offering awards of up to £5,000.

Community Support Fund Criteria

The Community Support Fund will accept applications from community groups based in any of the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester. We want to fund organisations who are supporting their communities however they can.

Persimmon Community Champions

Clinks Covid-19 Response Grants

Aims/priorities: The COVID-19 Response Grants scheme is administered by Clinks on behalf of Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and the Ministry of Justice. The funding is intended to support voluntary organisations who have had to reduce service provision or are adapting their services to deliver vital support to people in the criminal justice system due to the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. The funding is to be used for activities and resources which help organisations deliver support to people in the criminal justice system during the crisis.
