• Making Memories

Making Memories is a socila isolation group, mostly aimed at older people. This initially started as a demnetia support group but we found that amore diverse group were in need of support and so expanded our group to anyone who felt lonely. Nearly everyone who comes to us has a long term condition but they had felt nervouse coming to a group just for that. Expanding the groups remit has increased membership. every Monday we meet for a home cooked meal, and take part in art activities. We look to bring in people who can support out uses and host other relaxing activities such as hand massage, relaxation sessions, gentle exercises and other craft and baking activities. These all serve as ice breakers to get the group talking and making friends with each other.
