    Organisation Profile:

Part one of our organisation consists of collecting food from Tesco's stores who have subscribed to Fareshare. With this food we make a two course meal, every Tuesday, for families who have low or no income. Any extra food required is met from the pocket of the founders, Christine Harrison and Carol Jones. There is no charge to anyone else. Premises for preparation, cooking and serving this "Family Feast" have been donated, free of charge from New Life Church.

Foods that have been collected throughout the days are either stored in the freezer until there is enough to make a meal (for example tiny pots of fresh fruit) or they are donated to other organisations to ensure no food goes to waste. Currently we provide food to Hyde, Denton, New Life Foodbanks and Moravian Church. If we have excess cakes and Danish pastries these go to Pauline Towns or Greystones in Ashton-Under-Lyne. Other food items also go towards New Life Church itself who feed the homeless hot breakfast on a Wednesday and a hot meal on a Thursday.

Part two of the operation consists of collecting used school uniforms and redistributing to those in need.
