• Dipak Dristi Social Group

We do mind stimulating and creative activities including arts and crafts, music, dance, storybook and games. These activities help the members to develop confidence, value themselves and to maintain / improve their memory. We do yoga / chair-based exercise to promote a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing. We invite guest speakers that give talks on healthy lifestyles. We provide a light lunch taking into consideration about a healthy diet. We also visit our members within their homes and phone to see how they are doing. We are currently working with Ambition for Ageing to develop a storybook which will include various things our members enjoy doing, recipes and much more. Activities are for older people 55+ and we work especially with widows and people with dementia. We meet at the Broadoak Community Centre in Ashton-under-Lyne.
